YEREVAN. – Immediately after the European Games—which the Azerbaijani capital city of Baku had hosted—, the military and political leadership of Azerbaijan constantly destabilizes the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border, and at the zone under the responsibility of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Army.

The aforesaid is said in a statement released Wednesday by the Republic of Armenia Ministry of Defense (RA MOD).

“The daily violations of ceasefire are carried out with different-caliber rifle weaponry as well as mine throwers. The RA Ministry of Defense presents, virtually every day, the statistics of violations.

“On the night of August 11-12, the Azerbaijan Armed Forces have fired 109 mines from mine throwers.

“In the same period, the Azerbaijani diversion teams launched two failed attempts to infiltrate the border area.

“The RA Ministry of Defense again underscores the need to a peaceful resolution of the [Karabakh] conflict,” the statement also reads, in particular.
