Armenian Film director Artak Igityan is planning on shooting a film on the Armenian Genocide entitled “Anatolian History,” the French journalist Jean Ekian told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

The shootings will start in November 2015 and will be held in Armenia, Turkey, France and Germany.

The film follows the story of an aging Turk, who hates Armenians. But the man once finds out that he is Armenian. The film shows how the past can sometimes break into the present. Facing with the past, the hero must reconsider his life.

The film will feature Gérard Darmon (Day of Atonement 2) in the role of Gazi Mustafa, while the role of his son will be played by Samy Naceri (“Taxi”).

Great composer Michel Legrand wrote a soundtrack to the film.

According to the French-Armenian journal Nouvelles d'Arménie, Gérard Depardieu is not included in the cast, in contrast to the information disseminated by several mass media.
