Personal doctor of Uruguay President Mario Zelarayan helped save the life of a French teenager on the flight to Paris.
President Tabare Vazquez and his doctor together carried out resuscitation procedures for the passenger who suffered a severe allergic reaction during the flight, Zelaryan said in an interview with the Uruguayan newspaper Busqueda, The Telegraph reports.
In his words, the episode was rather serious. "If we hadn't attended to her, I don't know what would have happened," Dr Zelarayan said.
He also said that it is the third time Mr Vazquez had given medical assistance on a plane: the first time was on a flight to Asia, and the second time he helped an American woman who was having an asthma attack on a flight to Europe.
