At least 27 people died as a result of fighters’ assault at a restaurant and hotel seizure in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. French Ambassador to Burkina Faso, Gilles Thibault, stated the aforementioned, Gazeta reports, citing Liberation.

He also noted that 150 people from 18 different countries have been evacuated from the hotel.

As reported earlier, 25 people died.  

Islamist fighters attacked the café and hotel Splendid in Ouagadougou today. They also seized buildings and took hostage the people therein. The terror group al-Qaeda, banned in Russia and other countries of the world, claimed responsibility for the attack.
