The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group is working, but twenty years have passed, and there is no solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, whereas my report refers to the humanitarian and social aspects.

Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) MP Milica Marković (Bosnia and Herzegovina) stated the aforesaid during Tuesday’s PACE Winter Session debates on her anti-Armenian report about Sarsang Reservoir in Nagorno-Karabakh, and entitled “Inhabitants of frontier regions of Azerbaijan are deliberately deprived of water.”

She added that this situation was very contradictory, since the matter relates to the mandates of the Minsk Group.

Marković added that they will thank those who will vote for her report. 

On Tuesday, MPs of the Council of Europe member states are debating PACE MP Robert Walter’s (UK) report entitled “Escalation of Violence in Nagorno-Karabakh and Other Occupied Territories of Azerbaijan,” and PACE MP Milica Marković’s (Bosnia and Herzegovina) report about Sarsang Reservoir in Nagorno-Karabakh, and entitled “Inhabitants of frontier regions of Azerbaijan are deliberately deprived of water.”

Ex-President of PACE Anne Brasseur had stated at Monday’s pre-session press conference that a large number of MPs proposed not to hold a discussion on the aforementioned reports.

According to her, however, the final decision—whether the discussion is to be held, or the reports should be sent back to the committees—must certainly be made by the Assembly.
