While superstitious people may treat spilled salt as a bad omen, Mexico artist Rob Ferrel uses it for creating his unique works.
Rob managed to give spilled salt an artistic form: he makes the portraits of famous people from salt particles, using the table top as a canvas. The artist pours out the heap of cooked soil on the table and places the salt particles in an artistic order by means of a credit card.
Among his works are Bob Marley, John Lennon, Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, Salvador Dali and many others. Although the talented young artist gained wide popularity thanks to his portraits of famous people mainly made from soil, he also makes portraits from other flavorings, for instance, ketchup. One can get familiar with Rob Ferrel’s works on his Instagram page, Kedem reports.
