YEREVAN. - Corporate income tax should have clear depreciation rules in Armenia.
Ms Teresa Daban Sanchez, the IMF resident representative in Armenia, said the aforementioned today at the conference "Enabling Environment for Sustainable Enterprises in Armenia", which was organized by the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia (RUEA).
Speaking on the draft Tax Code which is subject to further discussions by stakeholders, Ms Daban Sanchez said that the idea is to make corporate income tax (known in Armenia as profit tax) simpler, with clear statutory vs. effective rates (including deductions for amortization of assets).
