YEREVAN. – Head of the Criminal Executive Department (CED) of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia, Artur Osikyan, on Wednesday received several representatives from the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) at the US Embassy.
The CED Department of Public Relations informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that US Department of Corrections Policy Initiatives Advisor Tony Streveler underscored Armenian-American collaboration in the correctional system.
Osikyan, in turn, thanked the US government and the embassy for their effective cooperation.
Subsequently, the interlocutors conferred on the probation service, establishing a gradual educational system within the Armenian CED, sustainability of respective reforms, fight against narcotics, the opportunities for signing a memorandum of cooperation, and some other matters of mutual interest.
At the end of the talk, the parties agreed to continue the cooperation.
