Two girls aged 17 and 18 years tried to use the Facebook for children abduction in UK, Lenta reported quoting Daily Mail.
The teens created a profile in the social network, offering mothers free baby clothes. Thus they tried to ingratiate with women and to obtain contact information that would be necessary for the abduction. Besides, one of the girls was so-called social worker.
Failed kidnapers were detained in the British county of Derbyshire after a call to the police from one of the mothers. It seemed suspicious to the woman that the so-called social worker whom she asked to sit with the child for some time tried to take the child to the doctor’s appointment.
The teenagers were arrested a week later after detection of their suspicious page on Facebook. It turned out that three children living in different English towns could have become the victims of kidnapping. The older girl pretended to be pregnant during detention that brought the police officers to the idea that after kidnapping she wanted to assign the child.
