YEREVAN. - Armenian goods can’t be less competitive in the Eurasian Union due to the expensive gas.

Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the EEC—and former Prime Minister of Belarus—Sergei Sidorsky, told the aforesaid to reporters Tuesday.   

According to him, Russia sells gas to Belarus and Armenia at the same price. Gas is cheaper in Kazakhstan, but the country has the right to support its economy at the expensive of its own gas, he said.  “And Armenia has its own priority. As to agriculture, you have many sunny days. And growing greenhouse cultures is much cheaper here than, say, in Ural, where there is actually no sun. And now your vegetables are cheaper than in Belarus and Russia. You should agree with this,” Sidorsky noted.
