The Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (CoE) has adopted the progress report of Armenia on fulfilling the obligations stemming from its membership.

The Committee welcomed the sustainable progress of the republic, as well as the authorities’ intention to continue the further reforms on human rights, democracy and rule of law, Armenian MFA press-service reports.

Touching on the process of constitutional reforms, the Committee encouraged the amendments to the Electoral Code on the basis of inclusive process and in compliance with the European standards. In this context, the close cooperation with the Venice Commission was lauded.
