President of French Senate Gerard Larcher who was on a visit to Moscow reported that he had discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. He mentioned that Moscow and Paris urge both parties to the conflict to stop military operations immediately, RIA Novosti reported.

He reminded that France is one of the OSCE Minsk Group's Co-Chair countries.

The French politician told reporters that they had talked about it with Lavrov. They appeal to the two parties to the conflict and ask them to cease hostilities immediately and to resume negotiations in the framework of the Minsk Group.
