Secretary-General of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, Michaëlle Jean, has made a statement, in which she expressed deep concern about the resumption of military actions in Nagorno-Karabakh, the toughest one during the last 20 years.
“I urge all the sides to immediately stop the struggle, respect the ceasefire and immediately take necessary measures to avoid further escalation of violence,” she said.
Michaëlle Jean also called for resuming the talks in the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group for peaceful, balanced and long-term solution of the Karabakh conflict in compliance with the resolution adopted by the member-states of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie at the summit in Dakar in November 2014.
