YEREVAN. – If there is a need for signing the new Ceasefire Agreement, then this agreement should be signed only between Azerbaijan and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, former Foreign Minister Vahan Papazyan announced during the discussion on the topic " Further Developments on Karabakh Conflict Zone" on April 6.
Besides, during new negotiations, surely, there has to be a return to a tripartite format, the diplomat emphasized.
Vahan Papazyan mentioned that today, there is one major issue on which the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia should focus. If there are still territories occupied by the opponents, they must be returned. It is a priority task. The situation existing at the front till April 1 must be completely restored.
At this point, the former foreign minister of Armenia explained that this is a military task. Papazyan added that as soon as the military problem is solved, the diplomats and politicians will be simply forced to resume negotiations.
