YEREVAN. - Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian today received Deputy FM of Kazakhstan Galymzhan Koishybayev, who has arrived in Yerevan to take part in the consultations between the Armenian and Kazakh MFAs.

FM Nalbandian briefed the guest on the situation formed as a result of the Azerbaijani aggression and the harm caused to the negotiation process. In this context, the FM underscored the importance of supporting the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group toward the settlement of the Karabakh conflict exclusively by peaceful means, which is enshrined in the documents adopted at the summits of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Council of Foreign Ministers. He also added that the positions contradicting the wordings adopted by the OSCE Minsk Group undermine the negotiations.

Referring to the cancellation of the session of the prime ministers of EAEU member-states, Edward Nalbandian underscored the importance of implementing the agreements. He also expressed hope that the meeting of May 20 will rectify this omission.  

The sides also touched on a number of issues on the agenda of the relationship and the cooperation in the framework of international organizations.
