German Chancellor Angela Merkel stated that the leaders of Germany, the US, UK, France and Italy recognize the fragility of the Syrian truce.

The consensus was expressed, she said after the summit in the Herrenhausen castle on April 25.  Merkel mentioned that they are very concerned that the ceasefire regime is fragile and, therefore, it is partly broken.

The decision should lie in the field of political negotiations in Geneva in order to come to a political decision, RIA Novosti reported.
