The Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations stated that three million Europeans can be deported from the territories of the UK in case of its withdrawal fro the EU, The Telegraph reported.

The spokesperson of the Cabinet was asked in the House of Lords whether they intend to allow the citizens of the EU Member States who have already settled here to stay in Britain in the case of the UK withdrawal from the EU.  And , Attorney-General of Scotland and the law officer Richard Keen answered that if Great Britain votes for withdrawal from the EU, the government will do everything possible to maintain the positive situation in the country, however under the law of the EU the rights of such citizens won't be guaranteed.

The speaker of the ministry has confirmed to the Politicshome resource that this is an official position of the authorities.

The member of Conservative party Peter Bone stated that it is obvious that any European citizen who is here on legal grounds will have the right to stay. Any other opinion is simply absurd. It shows how desperate the government and supporters of unity with the EU are, Lenta reported.

The vote on possible withdrawal from the Union is scheduled for June 23.
