Both Moscow and Minsk  are concerned about attempts by NATO to whip up confrontation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told journalists after a meeting with the Belarusian colleague Vladimir Mackay.

“We share concerns on the issues of European security as our colleagues from NATO countries try to whip up confrontation and advance military infrastructure eastward close to our borders”, the head of the Russian diplomatic service noted, TASS reported. 

Meanwhile, as Sergey Lavrov noticed, Moscow and Minsk are not supporters of confrontation and oppose construction of division lines in Europe.  He said that they support that Europe approved the principles of equal and indivisible safety for all, TASS reported.
