The Armenian and Azerbaijani negotiators are inclined to finding compromises, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated as a result of the meeting held in Vienna, according to TASS news agency of Russia.

In his words, the participants in these talks that were held in the Austrian capital city, and with respect to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, agreed to maintain the ceasefire in the region within the format of the respective agreements that were reached in 1994 and 1995.

The Russian FM stressed that they have reason to believe that the Armenian and Azerbaijani negotiators are inclined to formulation of compromises.

“We will contribute to it,” he added.

Also, Lavrov informed that during the meeting an agreement was reached that, “In June, the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan will agree on the place and date of the next meeting, during which work will continue toward agreeing on the criteria for the final settlement of the Karabakh conflict.”
