Researchers at Harvard University could make alcohol out of the air, reports Forbes. Professor Daniel Nocera by means of genetic engineering grew a bacteria called Ralston eutropha that converts carbon dioxide from air into hydrogen , producing alcohol-containing liquids. The scientist acknowledged that he had made that discovery by chance .
Experts believe that the unique Ralston eutropha bacteria can become the basis for the production of biofuel technology . If it becomes a reality , the discovery of the American scientists will have a positive impact on the environment and economy. Currently, biofuel is produced out of corn , soy , methane , and sugar cane .
