The authorities of Las Vegas have demolished the Monaco Tower building, where the legendary Riviera hotel casino was located, Lenta reports.

The building was built in 1955 and remained one of the most luxurious hotels of the city for decades. However, the opening of new comfortable hotels caused Riviera to lose its luster.  In May 2015, the city authorities bought the building and planned to demolish it. One of the conference-centers of Las Vegas will be built in its place.
