An American billionaire Leon Black proved in the court his right of ownership over Pablo Picasso’s famous sculpture Bust of a Woman. The ownership over the famous artwork that costs tens of millions of dollars was disputed by the Qatar royal family , reports the New York Daily News.

In January, the owner of the Gagosian Gallery in Manhattan sued the company Pelham Europe that represented the interests of the Qatar monarchy. The gallery proved that in 2015 it legally bought the sculpture and payed $ 106 million to great painter's daughter , Maya Vidmayer, and then resold it to the millionaire . The Pelham Europe disputed the authenticity of the transaction , as, according to the company, Maya Vidmayer had earlier promised to sell the masterpiece for $ 42 million to the Qatari royal family .

“We are pleased that the dispute between the Picassos and Pelham has been settled and Mr. Black will receive his sculpture," said a representative of the gallery.
