The Afghan forces neutralized three gunmen who attacked Northgate hotel in Kabul, BBC reported.

According to the local police, the operation is over. One policeman was killed and three others were injured. There are no casualties among the guests and the hotel staff.

A powerful blast hit the capital of Afghanistan on Monday as a truck with explosive went off near Northgate hotel which is housing foreign contractors and is located not far from Bagram air base. Three gunmen attacked the hotel after an explosion. Taliban movement claimed responsibility for the blast.
