A husband attacked his wife with a machete because of her not getting pregnant in Kenya.

Kenyan Stephen Ngila was arrested on charges with attempted murder of his wife, Jackline Mwende, whom he cut off both hands and tried to cut off her head, The Daily Mail reported.

According to the criminal, fault of the woman was that she failed to get pregnant after seven years of marriage.

Before attacking her 27-year-old wife Stephen cried: “Today is your last day”. According to doctors, her husband is impotent but she is capable to become pregnant.

Activists of the local human rights organization Equality Now want to apply a capital punishment to Ngila in order to teach other men who are used to domestic violence. The representative of Equality Now stated that this crime shocked even residents of Kenya, where domestic violence reached rather high level.
