At least two police officers and one civilian were injured as a result of the shooting in Copenhagen last night, The Sun reported.

“The attack happened in Christiania with police shutting off the area in an attempt to find the gunman,” the newspaper wrote.

 Eyewitnesses of incident reported that they heard nine shots.

According to the newspaper, the police officers were about to detain the man before he pulled out a gun and fired at them. The man was known to police and was involved in drug trafficking. One of police officers was wounded in the head, another — in a leg. The investigation is underway.
