The bishop of Grantham has become the first Church of England bishop to say that he is gay and in a relationship,  BBC reported

Nicholas Chamberlain who was appointed as bishop in 2015 said that all those who blessed his ordination, were aware of his homosexuality.

The Anglican church of England has softened policy for same-sex marriages in recent years and has withdrawn the ban on appointment of gays as bishops.

Chamberlain claims that he hasn't broken the church principles as he is not in an official marriage.

The head of Anglican church Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby confirmed that he knew about sexual orientation of Chamberlain, and didn't see it a problem.
