London has presented the most expensive teapot in the world, it costs $3 million, Lenta reported.

Golden teapot named Egoist was created by jewelers of the Italian firm Scavia, the decor required over 1,600 diamonds and 388 rubies. The center is decorated with a ruby weighing more than 6 carats (1.2 grams) and a cover was crowned with another 20-carat gemstone (about 4 grams).

This teapot  became a part of the Chitra collection which includes more than 1,700 unique copies of kitchen utensils such as Lord Nelson’s silver teapot, a silver tea set belonging to Winston Churchill’s daughter, Lady Mary Soames, a 1,000-year-old Chinese Song Dynasty set and a hand-painted set which Louis XVIII paid 10,000 francs for in 1816.

Prior to that, one of the most expensive teapots was sold in 2007 at Sotheby's auction. It was estimated at $ 2 million.

It is about china which belonged to the queen Elizabeth I. This teapot was made in China and gifted to the monarch. Later the queen presented it to the confessor Henry Parry in 1603.
