A disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant can soon be repeated elsewhere, announced a group of scientists of Sussex University, after they had analyzed more than 200 nuclear disasters, reports the Risk Analysis.

Scientists studied reports, articles , press releases, official documents and publications . They assessed all the damage caused by disasters , taking into account factors such as the loss of property , fines , insurance payments and environment rehabilitation. According to the experts methodology used by the International Atomic Energy Agency is not enough. It is necessary to improve technologies used in nuclear reactors.
