A Jaguar aircraft of Indian Air Force crashed on Monday in Pokhran area of Rajasthan, but both the pilots ejected safely, The Times of India reported.

The incident occurred near the city of Pokhran, Jaisalmer District. It was noted that the aircraft  was making a training flight. An investigation is underway.

SEPECAT Jaguar is an aircraft jointly designed by France and the UK. It has been armament of the country for 30 years, as well as it has been exported to other countries. In total more than 570 Jaguar aircrafts have been made. Indian Air Force operates two modifications of the plane: Jaguar IS and Jaguar IB.
