The US President Barack Obama has declared a state of emergency in Florida and instructed to provide federal aid assistance to “supplement state, tribal, and local response efforts to Hurricane Matthew,” reports the AP.

Obama’s order allows the Homeland Security Department and the Federal Emergency Management Agency to coordinate efforts to eliminate the consequences of the storm.
