Five men were arrested in Germany Lower Saxony and North Rhine Vestfalen federal lands on Nov. 8 suspected of links with ISIS terrorist group. Karlsruhe prosecutor’s office confirmed information about the arrests, reports the Deutsche Welle.

The suspects are charged of fighting in military operations in Syria. The German special services’ operation developed for several months and involved the testimony of one of the militants, who returned from Syria. One of the suspects, 32-year-old Iraqi national Abu Valaan, is a key figure among the Islamist extremists in Germany. He organized the traffic of radical Islamists from Europe to Syria. He was assisted by the 27-year-old German and a 26-year-old Cameroon nationals. Among the arrested are also 50-year-old Turk and a 36-year-old Serb man.
