YEREVAN. – National Assembly of Armenia Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov, who also heads the observation mission of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States, on Monday met with Prime Minister Sooronbay Jeenbekov of Kyrgyzstan, in the Kyrgyz capital city of Bishkek.

The parties discussed the democratic nature and transparency of electoral processes within the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states.

Deputy speaker of the Armenian parliament highlighted the coordinated and mutually beneficial activities of the CSTO member states within international platforms, and congratulated Kyrgyzstan on successfully holding its constitutional referendum.

The sides also conferred on the need for the development of economic relations, in consideration of the opportunities of the EAEU.
