Vice President of the National Assembly (NA) Eduard Sharmazanov, who is also the Head of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of CIS Observation Mission, on Monday met with Speaker of Kyrgyzstan parliament Chinibay Tursunbekov.

At the meeting, the sides underscored the importance of the activity of the friendship groups and discussed issues related to the bilateral parliamentary ties.

The Vice Speaker congratulated Chinibay Tursunbekov on holding a successful referendum in the country. He also attached importance to the coordinated work of the deputies in the parliamentary assemblies. Apart from this, the Armenian official stressed that the deputies of the CSTO member-states must not take steps, which do not stem from the interests of the CSTO member-states.

Futhermore, Sharmazanov raised the issue of installing an Armenian cross-stone in Bishkek, noting that he expects the support of the Kyrgyz side in this issue.
