The U.S. Ambassador offered condolences to the family of the Minister for Emergency Situations, Armen Yeritsyan, who passed away on December 13.

“Minister Yeritsyan was a dedicated public servant and an example for others on how to work for the improvement of the local community. He demonstrated great leadership in the area of social inclusion, making his ministry one of the most accessible buildings in Armenia for individuals with disabilities,” U.S. Ambassador Richard Mills said in a statement.

“When he was Minister of Emergency Situations and Territorial Administration, he worked closely with USAID in efforts to improve local governance, making it more effective and responsive to the needs of the community. We honor his legacy and hope that his accomplishments will inspire others to work for the betterment of Armenia.”
