MOSCOW. – Summit of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will be convened on December 26, in Saint Petersburg, Russia, informed the Kremlin official website.

At the event, the presidents of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia will sum up the results of the two-year activities of the EAEU, and point to the benchmarks for the further development of this integration union. 

“Central event of the summit will be the signing of the agreement on the [EAEU] Customs Code,” the Kremlin statement also reads. “The approval of several other important multilateral documents (…) is also expected.”

In addition, the presidents of the member countries will confirm the main directions for the EAEU international activities in 2017, and review the aspects of cooperation.
