Head of EU delegation to Azerbaijan Malena Mard dismissed reports of Azerbaijan's Trend agency following her comments in the margins of a Conference on Inter-Religious Tolerance in Baku.

The comment was published in Trend on December 15 under the headline “Glava Offica EC v Azerbaijan virazila otnoshenie arestu armyanskogo chlena Bakinskoy Mirotvortcheskoy platformi.”

“I want to clarify that I have no knowledge about the situation of anyone from the Baku platform or of any alleged arrests. In general I think it is important to encourage dialogue between different groups also on challenging topics but I have no specific knowledge of this Baku platform recently established apart from articles in media. As such I cannot make any comments on or assessment of their work,” says the statement posted by EU delegation on Facebook.
