YEREVAN. – Persecution of blogger Alexander Lapshin and his extradition to Azerbaijan is a gross violation of freedom of expression and movement, a flagrant violation of fundamental human rights, once again demonstrating the deep chasm between dictatorship and democracy, spokesperson for Armenian Foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan said.

“The flow of political, social, cultural workers, journalists, tourists to Karabakh will not definitely stop, but multiply,” Balayan said.

Alexander Lapshin was extradited to Azerbaijan after Belarus Supreme Court upheld the decision by prosecutor’s office.
