YEREVAN. - The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) countries should agree on arms supply to third countries.

MP of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, Khosrov Harutyunyan, said the aforementioned in the parliament on Wednesday, speaking at the discussion on the ratification of the CSTO Agreement on cooperation in the sphere of transportation of military and other subunits, movable property and military production, signed in Dushanbe in 2015.

In Harutyunyan’s words, if the CSTO members decide to coordinate transportation of weapons, it is appropriate to recall the Charter of the organization: the member-states shall refrain from such steps in relations with third countries, which can threaten both individual countries and collective security. “This refers to the arms supply to Azerbaijan both from Belarus and Russia. These issues should be raised, first of all remembering about our security. We shouldn’t threaten to leave the CSTO on any occasion. It should be born in mind that we need the CSTO no less than the rest of the member-states. It is necessary to act reasonably and in the interests of our own security,” Harutyunyan noted.
