STEPANAKERT. - It is not ruled out that Artsakh may be recognized by one country by the end of this year.

Foreign Minister of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, said the aforementioned at the briefing with journalists following the meeting with the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) President Bako Sahakyan on Wednesday, adding that this was a working meeting, Artsakhpress reports.

''This time we started the assembly of ambassadors exactly from visiting Artsakh. This indeed gives us an opportunity to hold the assembly of ambassador more successfully, since what we heard from the Artsakh President is very inspiring and meaningful. Visiting Arstakh has always been important for our diplomats, this being an imperative for our work and activity,'' Nalbandian said.

''I would also like to thank for the high appreciation which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and our diplomats were honored with by the Artsakh President,'' he noted.

In Nalbandian's words, it is not ruled out that one country may recognize the Artsakh Republic by the end of this year but this, according to him, is not sufficient for its international recognition.

The talks on Karabakh conflict, which are currently held by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are aimed at the settlement of the conflict exclusively through peaceful means, being aimed at the self-determination of Artsakh in terms of its recognition.

''Azerbaijan undermines the talks. The leadership of that country has put itself into a deadlock and tries to achieve success by using force. But such intentions and great illusions become futile in honor of our Armed Forces,'' he noted.
