STEPANAKERT. – The ongoing propaganda by Azerbaijan is primitive and repeated over and over again, wrote Senor Hasratyan, Spokesperson of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR) Defense Army, on his Facebook account.

He noted this commenting on the Azerbaijan defense ministry statement that, allegedly, “the headquarters of the base positions of the Armenian armed forces was destroyed, [and] the Armenian side suffered numerous casualties,” on Wednesday.

“The Azerbaijani agitprop has passed to the tactics of distorting realities regularly and purposefully,” Hasratyan also commented. “Another evidence of what is said is the opposing party’s ‘staged’ disinformation disseminated today that, allegedly, their armed forces ‘disabled’ an Armenian outpost (while some media present it as headquarters).

“The conclusion to be drawn from this is but one: this kind of propaganda carried out by the neighboring country is so primitive and repeated over and over again that it is unable to serve any serious objective.”

In addition, the Artsakh defense army issued a statement noting that the Azerbaijani defense ministry information Thursday that, purportedly, an Armenian military headquarters was destroyed in the Martuni direction and the Artsakh side’s sabotage infiltration attempt in the Martakert sector was prevented, is made-up and false.

“The Artsakh side has never acted as the aggressor, and it is ready to deliver a crushing blow to any provocation by the adversary,” the NKR Defense Army statement also reads.
