YEREVAN. – The Armenian dram (AMD) strengthened against the American dollar (USD) by 1.4 percent, over the past 12 months.

The aforementioned is noted in the National Statistical Service release with respect to consumer prices in the country, in January and February of the current year. 

Accordingly, USD 1 was AMD 493.64—on a monthly average—in February 2016, but it was down to AMD 486.5 in February 2017.

In February of the current year, however, the dollar strengthened against the dram by 0.1 percent.

At present, USD 1 amounts to AMD 486.71 at the Central Bank of Armenia.
