Within the framework of the annual high-level meeting of the National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) held in Geneva, Switzerland, special discussions on the role of these institutions in stimulating entrepreneurship took place.

In his speech, Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, underscored the importance of both regional issues and those related to stimulating entrepreneurship at a global level, the Office of the Armenian Human Rights Defender informed Armenian News – NEWS.am. Furthermore, he presented programs based on the best international practice.

One of the fundamental directions of the Human Rights Defender should be the protection of entrepreneurship from non-efficient administration. In this respect, programs stimulating the joint work of private and public sectors are important as well.

The new constitutional function of the Human Rights Defender related to the consideration of complaints against organizations operating in the sphere of public services was also presented.

The meeting participants expressed readiness to work jointly in order to exchange experience and raise the efficiency of their work.
