The EU's Official Journal publishes the regulation, which envisages to provide EU visa liberation for Georgian citizens, reports Sputnik- Georgia.

This is the last thing before Georgia can have a visa free regime. The regulation will enter into force 20 days after its publication. Thus, starting from March 28 all Georgian citizens can spend 90 per year without visas in the Schengen zone.

EU started a dialogue with Georgia on the liberalization of the visa regime in 2012. The European Commission presented an action plan for liberalization of the visa regime for Georgia in February 2013.
