The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is watching the developments round Russian citizen Mark Vartanyan, who is accused of computer fraud in US, the official spokesperson for the Russian MFA, Maria Zakharova, said on Thursday, TASS reports.

“We continue to closely watch the developments. The workers of the Russian Embassy to US regularly visit the Russian citizen. He is currently in the preliminary detention isolator in the city of Lovejoy, Georgia,” she noted.

In Zakharova’s words, Vartanyan hasn’t complained of the detention conditions and his health. Consultations are currently held with him for plea bargaining.
