YEREVAN. – If independent Kurdistan is formed, the party of Barzani and Kurdistan Workers’ Party are likely to resume cooperation and the hostilities will continue on the territory of western Armenia, today’s Eastern Anatolia, Armenian politician said.

Aram Sargsyan, leader of the Democratic Party, believes that in this case Turkey and Azerbaijan may lose Nakhchivan which is the only possibility to implement Turkey’s plans of creating Great Turan.

Nakhchivan, according to Sargsayn, is intended to be used as a foothold for a strike against Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, in order to unite with Azerbaijan in the east. To this end, the parties carry out coordinated actions at various levels. “At the moment, military exercises are conducted with the following alignment of forces: the Turkish armed forces - 70%, and the Azerbaijani - only 30%. That is, Azerbaijan does not even have an opportunity to have a large army group in Nakhchivan.”

The creeping annexation of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic by Turkey, according to Aram Sargsyan, continues economically. According to him, the Minister of Economy of Turkey declared they would create a free economic zone in the territory of Nakhchivan with a trade turnover amounting to around $ 100 million. And the trade will be conducted in Turkish lira. All this, according to the Armenian politician, poses a serious threat not only to Armenia, but to the entire region.
