YEREVAN. - If the society had confidence in the authorities, nobody would speak about 1,000 AMD withheld from the salaries for supporting the army.

Former Ombudsman of Armenia Larisa Alaverdyan told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am Saturday.

According to her, the public doesn't consider such treatment as support to the army. ''How can I be sure that these funds do not serve for the enrichment of individual people? I will never think that there are citizens, who grudge these funds. The thing is different here,'' Alaverdyan said.

Alaverdyan also expressed conviction that the Armenian community is ready to support the army more actively and by larger amounts but people have no confidence in any steps and initiatives of the current authorities, even the most positive ones.
