Only 10 percent of Lake Sevan has been studies, Deputy Chairman of Armenian Center of Underwater Research and Diving , geologist Ara Avagyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

''For instance, last year we inspected underground springs on the 8th km of the lake: they need to be studied,'' Avagyan said.

At the official opening ceremony of public beaches of Sevan, the Ministry of Nature Preservation of Armenia and the Armenian Center of Underwater Research and Diving signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). Chief of the ministry staff Hovhannes Hovhannisyan noted that the signing of the MoU pursues scientific and research goals.
