Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Armenian National Assembly (NA) Armen Ashotyan on Monday held a meeting with the head of regional program in South Caucasus Konrad Adenauer foundation Thomas Schrapel and member of the executive body of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany, former head of Thuringe Dagmar Schipanski.
Ashotyan underscored the importance of cooperation both with the foundation and parties of European states, the NA press-service reports. The sides touched on the development of the spheres of scientific research and prospects for economic cooperation. Among the priorities of cooperation in the scientific and research sphere, Ashotyan underscored the interest of Armenia in the opportunity of participation of private foreign companies in the country’s economy, noting the joining to Horizon 2020 in the sphere of scientific achievements.
He also highlighted the importance of innovative approaches to the development of economy.
