YEREVAN. – The World Chocolate Day is marked on July 11. The day was invented in 1995 by the French who are known as true chocolate lovers, Calend reported.

According to some opinions, the Aztecs were the first to make chocolate which was called “food of the gods.” The modern science says chocolate contains elements that promote relaxation and psychological recovery. Dark chocolates trigger the release of endorphins – happiness hormones.

There is also a hypothesis that chocolate has “anti-cancer” effect and is able to slow down the aging process.

In 2010 Armenia-based Grand Candy company broke the Guinness World Record for the biggest chocolate bar by making a bar weighing 4,410 kg.
