Former Armenian Justice Minister Gevorg Danielyan is one of the most respectable and professional diplomats in the political arena of Armenia, MP from Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD) Artsvik Minasyan stated at a briefing in RA NA, commenting on Danielyan’s resignation

“The decision on Danielyan’s release is on those people’s conscience who made it,” Minasyan said, stressing Gevorg Danielyan was always an expert in demand. According to him, Armenian Government failed to implement its own and pre-election programs. “The blame should not be laid on Gevorg Danielyan,” he stressed.

In his turn, MP from ARFD faction Artyusha Shahbazyan emphasized during three-year-long activities as a minister, Gevorg Danielyan made an impression of a decent man and high professional, capable of constructive cooperation. “Our country is in need of such professionals and mutual relations,” ARFD member said.

As NEWS.am reported previously, opening the RA Government’s sitting on December 9, RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan informed the cabinet that Gevorg Danielyan was relieved of the post of RA Minister of Justice for failing in his duties. Premier Sargsyan said the Government attaches importance to ethnical norms, but Minister Danielyan failed to meet them.

At the moment, two likely candidates for the post of Justice Minister are being considered offstage, particularly Adviser to Armenian President Gevorg Kostanyan and Deputy Police Chief Arthur Osikyan.
